Reunion Help Needed!

If anyone is interested in helping plan our 15 (yikes!) year reunion please let me know. It looks like I will not be able to come to this reunion this summer. Baby #2 is scheduled for arrival in June, so a trip to the Berkshires in July/August is probably out of the question for me. So far Ayren Moskowitz and Jennie Burkhard have graciously said they would help. Ayren is also helping to plan for her reunion at Berkshire so she'll also be busy with that.

We need 2-3 more people to get this thing moving. It would be ideal if those people were in/around the area.

I can't believe one week from today I will officially have a two year old! The most amazing, sweet, adorable, smart, caring, funny two year old I might add :)

Just checking in to see how everyone is doing and to see who's checking in periodically. Please leave a note in the comment section so I know I'm not the only one checking this site out. I'm getting ready to start planning our 15th year reunion (GASP)! Thanks to Ayren Moskowitz and Jennie Burkhard for agreeing to help with the planning! I'm hoping to get 2-3 more people to help plan so please let me know if you are interested!

Max & His BFF's

Max was BEYOND excited to see his two BFF's at the Arts Fest last week. On Wednesday it was kid's day and I wasn't sure what to expect. As we were walking up the mall towards Old Main, Max saw his two BFF's in the WPSU/PBS booth! He was SO excited and couldn't get out of the stroller quick enough!

We recently took Max to Del Grosso's Amusement Park (which is just past Tyrone and a few minutes from my old office) with a few other friends and their kids and had a great time! Max got to hang out with another one of his BFF's, Cash. As we were looking through these pictures today Max kept saying "Cash, car!" He had such a fun time driving that car. Be sure to check out the 20 month album for more Del Grosso's fun!

Check out how Max has his arm on this ride. He rode like that (with one girl on each side) for the whole ride! Thad said it looked like he was sitting in a hot tub--with the ladies :)

This poor blog is so sad. It gets no attention. Oh well, maybe when it gets closer to reunion time (can you believe 15 years will be NEXT YEAR??) it will get a little busier.

Christa Giddens Osgood and her husband Jeff welcomed their son, Justin Wiley Osgood, on July 3rd! He was 8 lbs 11 oz. and 21 inches long. They are exhausted and so happy!

Hey Everyone--hope you're all doing well. I wanted to let you know that Mike, Max and I will be heading to the Berkshires on Sunday. We'll be in town until Tuesday, then we're heading to Portland, ME--Mike has a conference there. We'll be in Portland until Friday and then we're heading back to the Berkshires until Sunday (Mother's Day). If anyone is around and would like to get together let me know.

Hope to see some of you while we're in the area.

with 3 days left in our poll summer is winning. Thanks to the 10 of you who have voted. Right now we have 8 people voting for summer and 3 for fall--if not one else votes, I'm going to go ahead and start planning a summer reunion. The next poll would be for when during the summer we have it.

I hope a few more of you vote--if anyone has suggestions on where they would like to have our reunion leave me a post.

Bridget Avery Krans, her husband Jake, and daughter Sophia welcomed twins to their family on March 19th. Ainsley Ann and London Elisabeth! They are healthy and growing like crazy.

It's Time to Plan!

Hello! As I was getting ready for work this morning, I realized that our 15 year reunion is just around the corner! Since so many people were able to come to our 10 year reunion (what a FUN time that was) I figured we should do it again for our 15. Since we have some time to plan, I was wondering what all of you were thinking of doing. Do we want to do what we did in 2005 or do we want to try something different. I know lots of us have little ones and since we're spread out all over the country and world I want to know what time of year would be best for you.

Some ideas I've thought of:
1. weekend reunion--happy hour of sorts one night, family day another day
2. a family day only (pot-luck picnic in a park, bowling, cookout/pot-luck at someone's house in the Berkshires)
3. happy hour only--like we did last time

Let me know your thoughts--I'm hoping we can get just as many people to our 15 as we did to our 10--would having our reunion over a holiday week/end be best?

I'll be posting a survey on the blog, so be sure to vote! I'll go with the majority again.

Kudos to Amy for setting up this blog. Since I last wrote to y'all, I've started a new job as a hydrogeologist with ENSR in Bellingham, WA. I'm working on some great projects now. Mostly remediation investigations of contaminated industrial sites. I'm involved in the redevelopment of the waterfront in Bellingham and the clean-up of Gas Works Park in Seattle.

We're really enjoying our new house, which is only 5 minutes from day care and then another 5 minutes to work. No traffic here, but I do have the occasional commute to Seattle. Sawyer's almost 6 months (and huge) and Laurel is coming up on 2 years old. They both have their own web sites if you want to check out their pics (www.laurelhirsch.com and www.sawyerhirsch.com).

I mostly spend my free time, what little of it there is these days, knitting, running, reading, and enjoying snow-sports. I get the occasional night off from being a mom to spend with friends, which is usually spent catching up over a glass of wine, walking the waterfront, or taking in an improv show (Ryan Stiles is a local celebrity). My husband David and I will celebrate our 8-year anniversary tomorrow!

Life is exponentially busier with 2 kids and a full-time job, so I probably won't make it back to the NE any time soon. It's already warming and lightening up here though, so there'll soon be more daylight hours for play. I'd love to hear from the rest of you, so send me an email, or set up your own account! Gabe Reis left his job in D.C. two and a half years ago to go back to school. He's graduating law school in May, and will sit for the Pennsylvania bar in August. He will be living in Pittsurgh with his wife Heather, working as in-house corporate counsel for a Fortune100 company. He still get back to the Berkshires a few times a year, though not enough.

Hello Classmates! I know you've been expecting a newsletter, but I've decided that I'm going to give blogging a try instead. I've been thinking that so many of us have news and things we'd like to share more than a few times a year, so I thought this would allow for more sharing of news and upcoming events.

If any of you would like to be able to post your own comments instead of emailing them to me, let me know and I'll add you as a user. Mike and I have started a blog for Max--for those of you who don't know, Mike and I welcomed our son Maximus (Max) James on Nov. 4.
